Select the function and double-tap on the back of your Google Pixel phone to quickly access it. Ensure that back tap gestures are enabled on your Pixel devices.

How to Turn On and Use Quick Tap on Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro

Step 1. Open the Settings app.

Step 2: Find the System and tap it.

Step 3. Tap the Gestures.

Step 4. Tap the Quick tap to start actions.

Step 5. Toggle on the Use Quick Tap.

You can see the options on your Pixel devices.

Take screenshot: Quickly capture the screen of the page.
Access your digital assistant: Launch the Google Assistant.
Play or pause media: Play or pause the media on your Pixel.
See recent apps: Access the recent apps.
Show notifications: Quickly check the notification panel at the top.
Toggle flashlight: Turn the flashlight on/off.
Open app: Access your favorite app on Pixel.

Step 6. Choose an option from the above-given list.

Step 7: Double-tap on the back of your Pixel device to access the function you select.

To open the camera quickly, go to Settings > System > Gestures > Quick tap to start actions > Toggle on use quick tap > Tap the Settings gear icon of the Open app > Choose a Camera app.

Step 2. Find the System and tap it.

Step 3. Scroll down at the end and tap the Reset options.

Step 1. Ensure to power off your Pixel 8 series. Touch and hold the Power & volume down keys simultaneously until the screen turns on. Start menu view on your screen.

Step 2. Select the Recovery mode to press the Volume Down key and press the Power button once to access the recovery menu.

The No command text with the Android robot exclamation mark symbol appears on your Pixel screen.

Step 3. Tap & hold the power button & press the volume up button once to boot your Pixel 8 into recovery mode.

Step 4. Press the Volume Down button until the Wipe data/factory reset is highlighted & press the power button to the following process.

By default, cancel is highlighted.

Step 5: Highlight the Factory data reset by pressing the Volume Down button once.

Step 6: Press the Power button to start the wiping process on your Pixel device.

Automatically highlight the Reboot system now option after completing the process.

Step 7: Press the Power button to reboot the system on your Pixel 8 series.

You can customize your lock screen clock style on your Google Pixel 8 series to set a new clock, color, and size.

Change the Lock Screen Clock Style on Google Pixel (Running Android 14)

Step 1. Long-press on the blank space on the home screen and tap the Wallpaper and style.

By default, view the date, time, clock style, fingerprint scanner, and weather info on your Google Pixel AOD screen. If you want to hide AOD details, turn off the AOD info.

How to Fix Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro Bluetooth Problems

Force Restart your Pixel

Press and hold the power & volume up buttons simultaneously until your phone screen turns off. You can restart your device automatically. Try to pair your Pixel with another device.

Turn Bluetooth Off & On

Swipe down the notification panel to quickly access it, and tap the Bluetooth to turn it off. Please wait for 10 seconds, tap it to turn on Bluetooth, and try to connect your phone to another Bluetooth device.

Clear Bluetooth Cache

If your Pixel doesn’t connect to another Bluetooth device, try to clear the cache for the Bluetooth app. It will remove unnecessary Bluetooth data from your phone.

Step 1. Go to Settings.

Step 2. Tap Apps.

Step 3. Tap See all apps.

Hide the Bluetooth app on your Pixel device. To find the Bluetooth, you need to access system apps.

Step 4. Tap More (Three Vertical Dots) at the upper right.

Step 5. Tap Show System.

Step 6. Find the Bluetooth and tap it.

Step 7. Tap Storage & cache.

Step 8: Tap Clear cache.

Forget the Device & Pair Again

Delete the paired connection from both your device and other accessories. Try to pair it with another device and check for a phone or hardware problem.

To delete the Bluetooth paired connection, go to Settings > Connected devices > See all in Saved devices > Settings gear icon of paired device > Forget > Forget device.

Your Pixel device will no longer be paired with this device.

To connect Bluetooth pair, go to Settings > Connected devices > Pair new device > Tap your device name > Pair.

Now, connect your device to another phone. You can transfer data between two devices.

Update your Pixel to Latest Version

Ensure the latest software version is installed on your Google Pixel phone.

Go to Settings > System > System update > Check for update.

Update your Pixel device if a system update is available.

Reset Bluetooth Settings

This process will reset your device’s Bluetooth-paired connection and other Bluetooth settings.

To reste Bluetooth settings, go to Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Bluetooth & Wi-Fi > Reset.
