Apply the solutions below to improve battery life on Samsung Galaxy S24 and S23 devices. Compatible with other Samsung One UI 6.0 and 5.1 devices.

Set Screen Timeout to 30 Second

If you’ve set the screen timeout high (5 minutes or 10 minutes), set your Samsung phone screen timeout as 30 seconds will stop battery draining.

Is the S22 Waterproof?

What is IP68?

Ingress Protection rating, or IP rating, is a rating system devised by the International Electrotechnical Commission to standardize the protection rating of devices against liquids and dust. Two digits followed by IP represent the rating system. The first digit indicates protection against dust particles; there are six levels, 0 being no protection and 6 being dust-tight. The second digit represents protection against water; there are nine levels, 0 being no protection and 9 protecting against pressurized direct water jets.

Is S22 waterproof? Being waterproof means it can handle water at any depth for any time. Officially, the Samsung Galaxy S22 has an IP68 rating, meaning it is dustproof and can be submerged in water up to 1.5 m deep for 30 minutes. However, it would be best to refrain from regularly putting your phone in water. The IP rating measures water resistance, and your phone is not waterproof.

Also, the IP rating is not infallible. These ratings are determined in particular conditions without factoring in any variables.  

You should not worry if your phone falls into a sink or gets wet in the rain; this is what an IP rating is for.

What to do if S22 Gets Wet?

Dry it with a clean cloth, then wait some time before using it. If it gets wet with salt or alkaline water, gently rinse it with fresh water and then dry it with a cloth. Please make sure to check the water in the port before charging it.

Can I Swim with my S22?

You can swim in shallow depths for a brief period. Just be mindful of depth and time. However, we recommend against swimming in the sea with your phone, as salt water can corrode its hardware and eventually decrease water resistance.

Can I Take my S22 in the Shower?

If it is a simple shower, you can, but don’t use soap or other things like shampoo and conditioner. Also, avoid going to the sauna or spa with it.

Is S-Pen Waterproof?

The S-pen has an S22 Ultra inside a slot, so it is expected to have a separate IP68 rating. The phone is also water-resistant, with or without the S-pen inserted.
