How to Hide your Caller ID/Number on Android 8.0 & 8.1 Oreo
If you can’t find hide my number option in your android device then don’t worry, some countries & network carriers do not allow to hide your phone number on the latest android devices.
Hide Your Phone Number on Android 10 and 9 Pie
Step 1: Open the Phone app in your latest android devices.
Step 2: Tap on More at the upper right corner.
Step 3: Select Settings.
Step 4: Tap on Calls.
Step 5: Tap on Additional settings.
Step 6: Tap on Caller ID
You can see three options available including Network default, Hide number, or Show number. By default set network default.
Step 7: Choose Hide Number.
Now the number is hidden in outgoing calls in your latest android devices.
For Android 8.1 & 8.0 Oreo:
Step 1: Unlock your Oreo & swipe up the screen to open the app drawer.
Step 2: Tap on the. Phone app
Step 3: Tap on Three vertical dots at the top right side corner.
Step 4: Select settings.
Here you’ll see several phone settings including sound & vibration, calls, call blocking, voicemail, caller ID & spam, Accessibility and more.
Step 5: Tap on Caller ID & spam.
By default enable caller ID & spam in your android Oreo devices.
Step 6: Turn off caller ID & spam toggle button
Now whenever you making a call from your android Oreo device, hide/disable caller ID in your device.
In android lollipop 5.1.2, marshmallow 6.0 and nougat 7.1.2 devices, you can see three options in show my caller ID settings including network default, hide number and show number.

Step 1: Tap on the phone app in your android device.
Step 2: Tap on More (three vertical dots) at the top right corner.
Step 3: Tap Settings.
Step 4: Select call settings.
Step 5: Tap More settings.

Step 7: Select show my caller ID or show caller ID.

The instructions given for Andriod 8.1.0 do not work. I just tested it and those settings don’t do anything to withhold or hide your number when calling someone else, they just stop other people’s Caller ID etc being displayed when people call you.
In the UK you can put 141 at the beginning of the number you’re calling and that does hide your number (again, I just tested to check).
