1^st Method: Clear the cache of Google Play store

Step 1: Go to “Settings”

Step 2: Under device section, touch “Apps”

You can view list of installed apps on your android device.

Step 3: Scroll down until find Google Play store and tap on it

Step 4: Touch “Storage”

Step 5: Tap “Clear cache”

If clear cache not fix Google Play Store error 498 then try to clear cache of Google play services.

Clear cache of Google Play Services in android:

Settings > Device > Apps > Google Play Services > Storage > clear cache & clear data

2^nd Method: Uninstall Google play store update

Step 1: Follow above given method step 1 to 3

Step 2: Tap “More” from top of the right side screen

Step 3: Tap “Uninstall updates”

You can see message: Replace this app with the factory version? All data will be removes.

Step 4: Tap “OK”
