Here’s how to activate or enable system UI tuner on Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. This system UI tuner is useful to change the status bar and Do Not Disturb mode settings with volume button control. By default hidden system UI tuner in Google Pixel 2 XL and Pixel 2 devices. How to Enable System UI Tuner on Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL (Android Oreo 8.1)
Step 1: Swipe down the notification panel from the top of the screen.
Step 2: Tap & hold the Settings gear icon a few seconds.
Can’t find system UI tuner on Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL? If not enable system UI tuner then first of all enable developer mode in Pixel 2 device using the below settings.
Settings > System > About Phone > Tap build number 7 times
Step 3: After enabling developer mode, again follow step 1 and step 2
You can see this message: Congrats! System UI tuner has been added to settings
Now go to Settings > System > System UI tuner
Here you can see the status bar and Do Not Disturb settings.

Adjust the status bar you want to see app icons home screen on your Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 devices.
Do Not Disturb
You turn on Do Not Disturb on Pixel 2 using press & hold the volume down button. And also show settings with volume control.
How to Disable or Remove System UI tuner on Pixel 2 XL and Pixel 2 (Android Oreo 8)
There are two ways to hidden the system UI tuner in Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL devices.
1st Way:
Step 1: Go to Settings in your Pixel 2.
Step 2: Tap System.
Step 3: Tap System UI tuner.
Step 4: Tap Three vertical dots from the top right side corner.
Step 5: Tap Remove from settings.
You can see this message: Remove system UI tuner from settings and stop using all of its features?
Step 6: Tap Remove.
2nd Way:
Step 1: Swipe down the notification panel from any screen in Pixel 2 & 2 XL.
Step 2: Tap & hold the Settings gear icon a few seconds.
Step 3: Tap Remove.
