How to enable Dolby Atmos in Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 plus

Want to enjoy better sound quality and effects in your Samsung galaxy S9 & S9 plus? Just enable Dolby Atmos in galaxy S9 and galaxy S9 plus Oreo devices. When turn on Dolby Atmos in galaxy S9 plus & S9, it will transform your listening experience with moving audio that flows all around you.

In Samsung galaxy S9 and galaxy S9 plus Dolby Atmos settings, you can see Auto/Movie/Music or voice options. To quickly enable Dolby Atmos on Samsung S9, swipe down notification panel and tap on it. Not all sound effect compatible with Dolby Atmos feature in your galaxy S9 and S9 plus Oreo devices.

There are two ways to turn on Dolby Atmos in galaxy S9 plus and galaxy S9 Oreo devices.

1st Method: Use Dolby Atmos in galaxy S9 using sounds and vibration settings

Step 1: Swipe down notification panel and tap on Settings gear icon

Step 2: Tap on sounds and vibration

Step 3: Tap on Sound quality and effects under advanced section

By default turn off Dolby Atmos in your S9 device. It will helpful to customize your sound settings and effects.

Step 4: Turn on Dolby Atmos toggle button in your S9

You can see below given four options in your galaxy S9 & S9 plus.

Auto: Optimize sound automatically for whatever you’re listening

Movie: Best possible audio for films, shows and video you watching

Music: Make all you music sound richer, fuller and more balanced

Voice: Make voice loud and clear

Now use Dolby Atmos in Samsung S9 and S9 plus devices. By default set Auto as Dolby Atmos in Samsung S9 plus.

Step 5: You can choose from Auto/Movie/Music/Voice you want

Also change soundalive equalizer from Normal/Pop/Classic/Jazz/Rock or Custom. By default set normal as Equaliser. In advanced equliser, you can see Bass, Treable, instrument and vocal option. You can see other options including UHQ upscaler, Tube amp pro and concert hall.

You can use Adapt sound to find best sound for you and use it for calls, music and videos. Adapt sound may not working properly while media volume sync is turned on in Bluetooth settings. Choose galaxy S9 Adapt sound profile from default/under 30 years old/30 or 60 years old/Over 60 years old.

2nd Method: Quickly enable Dolby Atmos in galaxy S9 and galaxy S9 plus

Step 1:  Swipe down notification panel from any screen

Step 2: Swipe the notification bar right side and tap & hold the Dolby Atmos

Now you can see all galaxy S9 Dolby Atmos settings.
