Apps running in the background is the main reason to drain the battery on Android phone. To save battery, you need to limit or disable app background activity on Android Oreo 8.0/8.1. How to Disable App Background Activity on Android Oreo 8.0
When the app is running in the background, it will consume battery power in your device. There are two different ways to stop apps to running in the background in Android 8.0 Oreo devices.
Disable App Background Activity on Android Oreo Using Battery Settings
Step 1: Go to Settings in your Android 8.0 devices.
Step 2: Tap on Battery.
You can view app data usage and full device usage in your Android Oreo. In android 8.0, you can see individually usage data by apps, system, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.
Step 3: Scroll down at the end of the page, you can see the App usage data list by percentage-wise.
Step 4: Tap on App which used more data (Show above screenshot).
You will show percentage of battery usage by app, battery optimization, and background activity. By default enabled background activity in Android Oreo.
Step 5: Toggle off “Background activity”.
Restrict Background Activity in Android 8 Oreo Using App Settings
Step 1: Go to Settings in your Android Oreo device.
Step 2: Tap on Apps & notifications.
Step 3: Tap on the App info.
A list of installed apps appears on the screen in your Android devices.
Step 4: Tap on App wants to stop background data.
Step 5: Tap on Battery.
By default enabled background activity in your android Oreo devices.
Step 6: Disable background activity under manage battery usage section in your Android Oreo.
