Here’s how to disable pop up/Heads-up notifications Android Lollipop 5.1.1 device. When you have received any new messages, you can see the pop-up screen on your device home or lock screen. How to Enable/Disable Pop Up Notifications Android 5.1.2 & 6.0
Step 1: Open the “Settings” app on your android lollipop 5.1.1 device.
Step 2: Under the device section, tap on “Sounds and notifications”.
Step 3: Tap on “App notifications” under the notifications section.
You can see the list of all installed and system apps of your android smartphone.
Step 4: Tap any app to hide or turn off pop up notifications.
By default, turned off the “block notifications”.
Step 5: Toggle on “Block notifications”.
Now blocked this app notifications, sounds and vibration. So you can not see any pop-up notifications on your device home screen or lock screen. You can individually block app notifications on your android phone or tablet device.

Show/Hide Notification Content From Lock Screen Android 5.1.2 & 6.0
Step 1: Follow the above-given steps 1 & 2.
Step 2: Under notifications section, tap on “Notifications on lock screen”.
You can see below given three options:
- Show content: Show pop up notification message & sender name on screen when you device locked
- Hide content: You can see only notification without message & sender name
- Do not show notifications: Not see pop up notifications while the device is locked
Step 3: Tap from the above given three options.
