Not sure if my issue is the same as any other pixel 3 owner but… This is my story… My charger never clicked into place with my phone from day 1. It would charge and I was happy. Over time though it got progressively harder to charge. It got so bad that I had to create a setup where my phone was forced into the charger port. Eventually it stopped charging altogether and I had a dead phone for weeks, had to go back to my Samsung s7. I didn’t want to go the insurance route, I would lose all the photographs of my son. I decided to file away the entrance to the charger port on my phone so that my charger cable could possibly penetrate deeper… It worked an absolute treat and now my pixel 3 charges easily. I’m not happy I had to go through all this but… I’m happy I got my phone back.
That’s good for you to back your phone. You can easily find your photos using your Gmail account if enabled sync in your Pixel devices.
